My green meal
Jill, Florine, Manon and Evi
The way food is grown or raised has a major impact on your health, mental as well as emotional health, this is also bad for the environment. organic foods have often more beneficial nutrients, such as antioxidants. This is also better for people who have allergies to foods, the chemicals or preservatives may find their symptoms lessen or go away when they only eat organic foods. Organic food is often fresher, because this does not contain preservatives that make the products last longer and most organic produce is nearby to where it's sold. Organic farming tends to be better for the environment, farming like this can reduce pollution, conserve water, reduce soil erosion, increase soil fertility, and use less energy. The animals that live surrounding the farm can live an easier life. The meat you normally eat might contain lots of things that aren't good for you like antibiotics or growth hormones but organically-raised animals don't get these things and get more space to live, which helps to keep them healthy. Organic meat and milk can be richer in certain nutrients. An european study from 2016 shows that levels of certain nutrients, were up to 50 percent higher in organic meat and milk than in conventionally. If you still want to enjoy more meat, you can switch to chicken or turkey, beef is one of the highest foods in carbon so if you switch to more chicken and less beef you already changed a lot in your diet which is also so much better for the environment
